Sky Extra Channels -ITV1 Regions
ITV1 joined the Sky Digital EPG on Channel
103 (Happened around 5:30PM 21 Nov 2001).
We will no longer see the "...press 'tv' then
'3' for ITV." message on 103.
You can currently watch all 16 ITV1 Regions by adding them to
the Other Channels.
Adding the other regions allows you to watch
a different local news programme or football match or
film that your region is not showing.
You add extra channels by pressing the
"Services"
button on the Sky Remote,
choose option 4
"System Setup"
choose option 4 "Add
Channels"
There are Four
things you have to enter
- Frequency
10832
- Polarisation H
- Symbol
Rate 22

Once you have entered the parameters select
"Find Channels"
After a while a list of ITV channels will
appear mark the ones you want using the Yellow
button on the Sky Remote Control and press Select.
To see which of the 16 ITV regions is on
which frequency see the Region List below.
Repeat for the other two transponders

NOTE - To access these channels press "Services" and choose "Other Channels"
If the ITV channels are not in the Other
Channels list then you forgot to mark them with a tick by pressing the YELLOW
key above.
They do not appear along side the Channels
in the Electronic Program Guide (along with 101 BBC1, 106 Sky One etc)
You can not add them to the EPG (see Can I add Channels from the "Other Channels"
into the EPG)
You can not alter which ITV1 you get at
position 103 in the EPG, only Sky can change this by altering your postcode.

Terrestrial ITV, so these 16 still regions leave a lot of ITV sub regions not
covered.

testing and were given cryptic names R1 1-1 etc, they now have the names shown
above.
