Extra Channels
19 Feb 2002 - ITV is no longer testing EPG information for ITV Sports Channel, it does indeed look unlikely that ITV Sport Channel will be on the Sky Digital Platform in the near future.

Around 15 Jan 2002 ITV started testing a new Channel, the one with Ident 3-6 (see below).
It was showing EPG information for ITV Sports Channel.
This was thought to be significant because this is how testing started for ITV1 and ITV2.
Ident 3-7 was also showing some now/next EPG data, possibly for one of the other ITV Sport channels.
The channel 3-6 has been used in the past to show ITV1 pictures and no sound. Probably when ITV was testing the ITV1 widescreen switching.

It has also been showing a test card similar to the one used before ITV1 and ITV2 went live, shown below.

To keep an eye on this channel, add it using the instructions below :-
You add extra channels by pressing the "Services" button on the Sky Remote,
choose option 4 "System Setup"

choose option 4 "Add Channels"

There are Four things you have to enter
- Frequency 10906
- Polarisation V
- Symbol Rate 22
- FEC 5/6

Once you have entered the parameters select "Find Channels"

After a while a list of channels will appear mark the one called 3-6 using the Yellow button on the Sky Remote Control, then press Select

NOTE - To access the extra channels press "Services" and choose "Other Channels"


They do not appear along side the Channels in the Electronic Program Guide (along with 101 BBC1, 106 Sky One etc)
You can not add them to the EPG (see Can I add Channels from the "Other Channels" into the EPG)
