Me to SKY - SENT VIA SKY WEB PAGE FEEDBACK FORM
Sky One - The "Enterprise Starts on ..." logo shown recently, and the "Sky One ALL NEW" Graphic on Star Trek Enterprise detracts from the programmes and gets in the way. I have stopped watching other channels with writing all over the screen please don't add more to your already annoying "SKY | One" logo.
Also the Red "Sky Active" Dot, please consider adding a method of permanently turning this off, I know you can push "backup" to remove it but it comes back after every Advert. I know you have an ACTIVE facility, the Key is there on my remote every time I pick it up.
I don't know anyone out of my friends and colleagues who like on Screen Channel Logos or Sky Active red dot reminders, please listen to your customers.

SKY to ME
Dear Chris
Thank you for your e-mail. Please accept my apologies for the delay in
responding.
I was concerned to read of your dissatisfaction with the logos on Sky
channels. Please allow me to explain.
It was felt that, with the continual expanding range of programming on Sky,
some form of channel identification is necessary and logos make quick and
easy identification for the viewer.
The interactive icon you describe is designed to give valuable viewer
information drawing attention to a particular interactive opportunity - such
as a quiz or to highlight that there are general interactive viewer
opportunities.
The red icon is the only way to display, on interactive broadcasts, that
these services are available, by pressing the back-up button this will
remove the icon only until there is a break in the programming then the
process has to be repeated.
Unfortunately, we have no alternative manner of advertising interactive
programme services without this symbol thus the design in software to remove
the icon from display if found to be
lessening the individual viewing enjoyment.
Sky always welcome viewers' comments and feedback and all the points raised
in your email have been noted and passed to the relevant department for
their information.
I am sorry that you find these logos distracting, however, thanks once again
for contacting us.

Me to SKY
Stephen,

I disagree that you need to advertise the interactive services during the entire programme, just mention the fact interactive features are available during the beginning titles, just like you mention subtitles are available etc.
